Strengthen Our Sisters sends out a call for justice for battered women and children.

For Friday, May 11th, the Friday before Mother's Day, Sandra Ramos, founder and executive director of Strengthen Our Sisters, asks that groups all across the country create demonstrations in front of Family Courts to highlight the epidemic of batterers being awarded custody by Family Court judges.  We will be pushing empty baby carriages and publicizing that the court system is broken and that battered women and children are not being heard or protected by the courts.

Talk to each other, learn about how attorneys and judges are working to make the displaced and abused women even more destitute and revictimized.  Read about the use of Parental Alienation Syndrome testimony to discredit the mothers and children.  Learn about how children are forced by the courts to be with endangering parents.
