Female children who witness domestic violence are more likely to become victims of abuse as adults. 50% of the children of battered women are physically or sexually abused by their mother’s assailant.

We understand how difficult it is during a down economy for companies to give large amounts of money to support charitable efforts. But, we also know how important it is for companies to provide philanthropy to worthwhile causes.

So, along with company supporters, we are launching the thousand campaign — an inexpensive way for companies to each help 1,000 families in-crisis for a dollar a family.

Here is how it will work:

1,000 companies each donate 1,000 tax deductible dollars to help save 1,000 families from the devastating effects of Domestic Violence, effectively helping us Break the Cycle of Domestic Violence and poverty among the families we serve, for a small investment.

Participating companies will receive featured status in all of our promotional materials about the1,000 Campaign — including our award winning web site, press releases, radio announcements, and our special campaign publication on Domestic Violence Awareness.

The 1,000 Campaign is a unique opportunity for companies to be involved for a small investment in the struggle to end domestic violence and poverty, and to receive recognition for doing so by being a participating member of the
1,000 Companies – 1,000 Families Campaign.
